Hello! I'm Julie Ocon,

As a Registered Nurse specializing in prenatal and postnatal care, and a Board-Certified International Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I am dedicated to helping you navigate your breastfeeding journey with confidence and support. Compassionate Breastfeeding Support

Latchology was born out of the need for accessible, compassionate breastfeeding support beyond the hospital setting. I've spent over 25 years helping mothers achieve their breastfeeding goals, and I pride myself on being perceptive, kind, gentle, and trustworthy. I understand that breastfeeding is a deeply personal journey, and I respect that every family is different. My support is free from judgment, and I embrace the unique paths and diverse family dynamics that I have the privilege of working with.

"Where do I start about the amazing Julie. I met Juile back in 2019 when I was having my first son Dylan. I was struggling so much with breastfeeding and needed some support. I was so upset walking in the hallway at the hospital and Julie who wasn’t even my Nurse Saw I was upset and came to help me. She helped me in the hospital but then came to my home to also help me. I was able to breastfeed my son until he was a year old. If it wasn’t for her I would have given up. Then fast forward to 2024 with my son Jaxson she also saved me as I was struggling once again. Julie is so kind and intelligent. She gave me so many tips on what to do to get my son to latch. Breastfeeding is really important to me and without Julie’s help I wouldn’t have made it. "Julie understood my hesitation in my response to how I planned to feed. There was ZERO pressure from her one way or another, but rather she encouraged me to do what I was most comfortable with.She saw I was stressed. She sat and held my hand. I was met with compassion, encouragement, and empowerment. She asked me if I would like her to show me how to use the pump And if I wanted to first hand express my colostrum. Her encouragement gave me the motivation to try – and then I produced .5 mL immediately she cheered me on and seemed generally impressed! It made me feel like “wow maybe I can do this after all. “! Julie took the time to sit with me and go over how to use both pumps in detail, and answered every question I had (Even repetitive ones). With Julie‘s support, I am now 16 weeks postpartum and still exclusively breastfeeding.
